Peter moved to Perth in 1967 and completed his education there.Prior to his retirement from full time employment in 2008 Peter was the Head of Corporate (Western Australia) for Bell Potter Securities Ltd, Australia’s largest retail broking house.Peter has also previously held senior executive positions with National Australia Bank Ltd (State Manager Corporate Banking) and Challenge Bank Limited including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Credit Officer roles. He held numerous directorships in Companies controlled by Challenge Bank Ltd including those holding the Bank’s Securities Dealers License (the R.E. for Financial Advisory activities) as well as a joint venture payments business with the U.S. banking group Chase Manhattan. In addition Peter has held Board positions with Not For Profit organisations as well as acting as a Councillor of one of Perth’s major universities and has held past Directorships in several Public companies (Decmil Engineering Ltd, Tethyan Copper Ltd, Ruralaus Ltd, BNK Banking Corporation Ltd and Neptune Marine Services Ltd).Peter is currently Chairman of Icon Engineering Pty Ltd and a NED of Katana Capital Ltd.He is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.Peter has been a member of Lake Karrinyup Country Club since 1994 and is a Past Chair of the Finance Committee.
