Managed inhouse and 3rd party consultants to deliver numerous concurrent projects. Negotiated with 3rd parties to get the best possible deals for the business. Project Highlights:• VxRail Project (£1.4M); successfully implemented a new hyperconverged infrastructure platform to host the business systems and managed the migration of all the applications across to the new platform.• Enterprise Service Bus (£0.5M); established a new middleware layer for internal data transfer using Redhat Openshift.• Backend infrastructure upgrade (£1M); managed a programme of related infrastructure projects to modernise the way of working at ENWL, this included AD upgrades, ADFS, AD Connect, Always On VPN, Seemless Wifi, Skype, Office 365, Onedrive, hybrid Exchange, new MFA solution using Swivel, new web Proxy and AV using Trend Micro, PKI solution using Thales HSM’s.

As a Senior Project Manager, I applied expertise my in project management, relationship building, and leadership to develop proposals, project definitions and implementation plans to secure funding for numerous projects while ensuring clear articulation of business benefits. I also administered project budgets of £1M+ and created and delivered clear and concise weekly reports and project presentations. In addition I directed cross-functional and geographically diverse project teams by setting clear goals and targets throughout the project life cycle. Next , I monitored project risk management and coordinated risk avoidance and effectively managed third-party teams involved with projects. I led numerous (concurrent and individual) projects, including those related to infrastructure, application development, SAP, and virtual desktop.

A £100k project in which I managed the development of a bespoke web application to replace a legacy system with a new application that extracts and transfers the data in two hours and enables users to view it through a web browser. I followed the Agile development approach with a remote development team and utilised .NET. Resulted in allowing business to transfer data significantly faster than the two weeks with the old system and improving user experience by reducing time spent searching for data. Project received the BAE Systems Chairman’s Award for innovation.

I successfully managed a team of seven in implementing and transitioning into support, a virtual desktop environment in KSA for 400 users using Microsoft AppV technologies and providing basic office suite of applications to users across the country. Post Go live I oversaw support of this environment and coordinated implementation of a number of additional applications, including Crosscare, a healthcare application implemented in seven medical centres in Saudi Arabia with 60 users, plus Predict, Doors, Mood, Proquis and Cassandra. The project delivered a secure desktop environment for users in KSA and UK, allowing restricted data to be shared securely

A £750k project in which I effectively led a team of six in implementing major infrastructure deployment in KSA for BAE systems involving procuring hardware, coordinating shipping to KSA, and leading installation and set-up team. Project involved traditional windows servers plus a HP blade chassis all connected to a Netapp storage array, creating a private cloud environment for virtual servers KSA, thus delivering the infrastructure for a secure environment to resolve a security breach.

I spearheaded the SAP migration for BAE Systems Telford (£700k) to the BAE systems global combat SAP template, which was a data migration from a bespoke SAP system to a global standard and included training of users before switchover. Project completed on time and on budget and reduced business costs on support and decommissioned old infrastructure. I also delivered the SAP migration for Pinzgauer to bring it into the core BAE Systems SAP model.

In this £300k project I led a team of ten in implementing the Delphi SAP solution at a new manufacturing plant in Romania delivered by a geographically diverse team on time and within budget. This enabled the new plant to be opened as planned, avoiding costly delays

I led a team of ten in the SAP performance improvement plan for Anglian Water, determining cause of the poor performance, proposing a solution, and implementing the changes without impacting business users of their key billing and customer management system. I also procured and established a new Sun server with a UNIX operating system and migrated SAP components around environment to ensure most effective use of various servers. This £750k project enabled the client to process customer calls more efficiently by reducing SAP CRM system response time, improving customer service, and decreasing business costs.

I was the SAP Technical Manager for Anglian Water, overseeing a team of ten in SAP environments and SAP basis team for ISU programme and other projects. I also managed the ISU cutover, which was run 24/7 for eight days and completed successfully with the system able to go live when expected. Resulted in resolving issues with management of environments and allowing technical team to work more efficiently, which expedited testing and go live

Project/Programme Manager at ABN AMRO for 2 yrs and Project Manager working with DWP for 3 yrs.Project Highlights:• CRM Systems Projects (£1M): Successfully led a team of 25 in multiple document management and workflow-related application projects, primarily using Documentum and Staffware to integrate different software applications and deliver one successful overall CRM system. • System Sharing Project (£1M): Managed a team of 25 in the development of a system for displaying shared information for an investment bank, which was a bespoke front-end integrating to a number of back-end systems. Developed using an off shore team from India and applying Rapid Application Development approach.• Empower Project (£1M): Directed a combined IT/business team of 12 in the workflow and document management part of an IT system for the Department of Work and Pensions, creating a customer contact solution for call and mail handling and integrating a CRM package (eCRM from Affinity) with workflow (Staffware) and document management (Documentum), using a Prince 2 methodology. Two-year project delivered in phases with responsibility for 50% of the solution, while managing all aspects in this area, including business analysis, design of software and hardware, hardware procurement and implementation, development, testing, training and implementation plus post go live support.
