I was employed by Sydney Motorway Corporation (SMC) as the Maintenance Manager in the Operations and Integration Directorate. SMC was previously known as the Westconnex Delivery Authority and was responsible for the construction, delivery, operations, and maintenance of the Westconnex Motorway.The following are some of the duties that I have carried out at SMC:• Review of design documentation from an Operational and Maintenance perspective. Documentation includes design reports and specifications for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical aspects of the design across all stages of the Westconnex project.• Participation in Safety in Design review process and the identification of Residual Risk for the O&M phase.• Participation in the Tender Evaluation process for the selection and engagement of the contractor to carry out Asset Condition Assessments on existing assets that SMC will inherit as part of the Westconnex project.• Participation in the Tender Evaluation process for the selection and engagement of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contractor to carry out the operations and maintenance of Stages 1 and 2 of the Westconnex project.• Selection of the preferred Asset Management Information System (Maximo) and assisting the O&M Contractor to implement the system.• Participation in the development of the Scope of Works and Technical Criteria (SWTC) for Stages 2 and 3 of the Westconnex project.• Participation in Tender Evaluation process for the selection and engagement of the D&C Contractor to carry out design and construct Stages 3a and 3b of the Westconnex project.• Participation in the development of Strategic Asset Management plans.• Development of an Operational Asset Numbering system for implementation across all stages of the Westconnex project. and• Review of D&C and O&M Contractor supplied manuals and documentation.

Maintenance Manager for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) phase of the Airport Link which opened in July 2012. My duties during the build phase of the project were to review design documentation from an Operational and Maintenance perspective. These documents include design reports and specifications for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical aspects of the design. Following review, comments were sent back to the designers and usually incorporated into the design. I completed the research and successful recommendation for the supply of the Asset Management System (AMS) to be managed on behalf of the client. The client purchased the recommended system (Maximo). The system recommended satisfied all contractural requirements including integration with GIS and Linear Asset location identification. I have managed a number of AMS’s including MEX, Mainpac and Maximo.I managed the mobilisation of the maintenance aspects of the O&M Phase. This included equipment and vehicle procurement, recruitment and training, procedure development (JSEA, SHEWMS etc) and subcontractor engagement. Subcontractors include Fire Prevention and Detection, Cleaning, Lift Maintenance etc.

Contract Manager for the 10 year M5 East Motorway M & R Sub-contract with the Baulderstone Hornibrook – Egis Consulting JV for Alstom Australia• administering a small number of maintenance contracts for individual systems such as Air Monitoring equipment maintenance and Fire Detection and Prevention system repairs etc.• ensuring that all maintenance and repair activities are carried out in accordance with agreed maintenance standards which cover and comply with contractual, statutory and legal requirements.
