Peter Wandera is currently working at Transparency International Uganda as the Executive Director. He previously worked for over 10 years at the Development Network of Indigenous Voluntary Associations (DENIVA) as the Assistant Executive Director Human Resources and Administration. He is a holder of an MA. (Public Administration and Management) in which he specialised in Finance Management and Public Administration, and a BA (Social Sciences) both attained at Makerere University Kampala. He is an experienced Administrator, having worked at top management levels both in the private (profit) and the non-profit sectors for more than 8 years. His main expertise is in Budgeting, Donor funds Administration, project funding proposals, project planning and implementation, and programme development and NGO management. He has undertaken ICT training and has IT competence in most Computer applications, LAN set up and systems administration. Mr Wandera has keen interest in issues of development and is involved in activities related to Poverty Monitoring, Public Expenditure Tracking and Accountability, and in issues of NGO development and sustainability. He has participated and coordinated a number of research studies among which include in Effect of Donor Conditionality on the effective deliverability of Local NGOs in Uganda, and a number of Public Accountability Monitoring and tracking surveys.
