Hello,I'm Tianze Wang, also known as Peter Wang. I started studying Geomatics at BCIT in September 2018 and continued with my Bachelor's degree. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Geomatics in April 2022. My capstone project involved creating a user-friendly map for monitoring wildlife. With the help of my friendly classmates, I received a scholarship from Underhill Ltd in 2021 for my good grades. I also represented BCIT at the Canadian Hydrographic Conference in Ottawa in 2022. I still keep in touch with my classmates. In 2022, only five of us successfully graduated, with one in Victoria, one in Alberta, and three in Vancouver.In June 2022, I started my career as a survey technologist at McElhanney, and it has been a life-changing experience for me. My former branch manager, Rob Yates, and my mentor, Gary Borne, appreciate my enthusiasm for my career. Right after turning 22, I began articling under Gary Borne. Since then, I have been involved in various out-of-town projects, such as posting plans in Burns Lake, TMEP legal work in Hope, and attending the Young Professionals Conference in Prince Rupert.My goal is to obtain my BCLS license within the next four years and become a project manager. My colleagues acknowledge my quick learning abilities and willingness to help others. I aim to take on more responsibilities within my company and make a difference in the Lower Mainland community. Currently, I live in East Vancouver. I am also open to any out-of-town work.
