Retired as of 14th Dec 2015 Just completed 3 month contract at Masan Resources Nui Phao operations as Electrical Supervisor Trainer in the ST plant.As of 31st March 2014 I was made redundant from MMG Sepon. Over the past 30 years I have gained experience on most facets of electrical installations in mining operations covering underground gold & copper, major open pit gold & copper and also large scale open pit coal mining. This includes power generation utilising steam turbine & diesel plant, also high voltage power distribution & switching operations. Processing plant equipment from high volume primary crushing & screening through to autogenous, SAG & ball milling, flotation, various methods of gold and copper extraction, from concentrate dewatering, to solvent extraction and electrowinning plant.Large scale mine water management systems including many types of pumping systems and large scale water treatment plants.I have been involved in the assembly and maintenance of large electric shovels, also large hydraulic mining equipment specialising in fire suppression systems.Infrastucture services such as water & waste water treatment systems.As I have been fortunate enough to have worked in four different countries, I have been able to pass on my skills to local supervisors to the stage where they take over the position I held.Currently on a short-term contract with Masan Resources at the Nui Phao operation in Vietnam.
