Started out working for a small company as a trades assistant working on crushers,screens and pumps. This led to a full time position at Metso developing my skills further on not only screens but other metso equipment aswell. I then obtained my trade certificate as a mechanical fitter through an adult apprentice ship. Metso gave me the opportunity in supervision roles and running and planning jobs, from commissioning to full rebuilds and screen installations on various sites. I had been with the company for 17 years and decided a change was for the better and took up a full time onsite roll with a competitor company. Roll to date not only includes looking after screens, feeders, centrifuge and other plant onsite. Current roll includes supervision and planning of day to day maintenance and scheduled shutdowns on a weekly and fortnightly basis.
