I have over seventeen years of experience in coordinating sustainable livelihood improvement programmes across Kenya and in Central Somalia. I currently work as a program coordinator for livelihoods and environment programmes. My goal is to link environmental conservation to sustainable livelihoods for the community members. of importance is the linkages between conserving flora and the livelihoods of the community members. My current achievements are supporting the growing of trees (both indigenous and exotic) that are adaptable to the natural environment of Narok and Kilifi counties in Kenya. Through promoting the adoption of energy-efficient stoves including fireless stoves, there is a remarkable decrease in pressure on fuel wood. Previously, I worked in remote areas of Adado and Galmudung districts of Somalia managing a livelihoods improvement project through promotion of camel and goat milk value chains.
