The role at Slough was both challenging and rewarding. With a focus on delivering projects, financial & staff management & development. Over my 16+ years there, I successfully developed the services into a cost-neutral Security Operations Centre delivering for the community. I am now focussed on delivering for the CCTV User Group, growing the membership, delivering conferences & webinars + adding value

Reporting the the MD (indirectly), as a team of 5 in the same role, we were responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the airport 24/7. This included landslide and airside security, Airfield Ops, Terminal Ops. We attended all major airport incidents and were also CT Threat Assessors for BAA Heathrow Airport Ltd.

Starting as a trainee fire fighter, I progressed to station officer within 13 years. In 1993, I moved into general management as a senior management trainee for a 3 year period of placements around the BAA Airports group. This included being Terminal Duty Manager at Heathrow's Terminal 4, Airports Council Intl. based in Brussels Belgium working on policy for the liberalisation of airport ground operations across Europe, Retail Developments at Gatwick Airport and lastly, Property Marketing at Heathrow. I completed this placement and was then appointed Airport Duty Manager at Heathrow, the role I loved doing the most, due to the huge diversity of challenges.
