  My early career was in industry, where I became a Graduate Member of The Institute of Export. Further to two years at Wolverhampton University and a complete change of direction in 1977-79, I subsequently qualified as an eclectic psychotherapist at the National College (Chester) in 1985.After 27 years working as a registered psychotherapist and trauma specialist, in 2012 I retired from full-time practice. At this time, based on my professional experience of treating a wide variety of personal problems, I wrote and recorded two versions of a restorative mindfulness treatment, taking the forms of guided meditations, journeys through deep relaxation into peace and desired change. Listeners will find these quite unlike other, more passive forms of meditation.One of these, 'The Calmest Place', was created to help people affected by stress and related problems such as tension, headaches, worry and feelings of anxiety. Its companion recording, 'The Calmest Place to Sleep,' was designed to help sufferers from insomnia (sleeplessness). Both are extended play (EP) spoken voice recordings with a harmonious background.
