Mutual Funds OperationsResponsibilities include dividend payment and distribution, purchases, redemption, fund share exchanges, fund account establishment, fund position verification reconciliation, account information maintenance along with fund sales, 22c-2 fee payment, posting NAV prices for clients and proprietary funds held under the Excelsior Funds series. 95% of all trading, transfer and reconciliation is handled through NSCC FundSERV/Networking, which is an automated system through the National Securities Clearing Corporation. FundSERV is the trading platform and allows for trade requests to be placed by the fund Administrator directly with the Fund Company. Networking is the segment of the automated reconciliation and maintenance system that allows account reconciliation, dividend payment & distribution, and account set up. Broadcasts from the Networking system come from the fund companies and are matched to various internal systems to create internal account information updates that reflect trade activity and dividend payments. We also make use of the NSCC ACATS account transfer system.
