I was responsible for the continued operation of Canada's largest newborn screening laboratory. This included sample analysis instrumentation and data management for 145000 lab samples leading to theidentification and retrieval of 1500 potentially affected infants all on an annual basis. I also served as key subject matter expert during the design and implementation of NSO data warehouse constructed to support clinical decision making on over 100 million data points in addition to program… Show more I was responsible for the continued operation of Canada's largest newborn screening laboratory. This included sample analysis instrumentation and data management for 145000 lab samples leading to theidentification and retrieval of 1500 potentially affected infants all on an annual basis. I also served as key subject matter expert during the design and implementation of NSO data warehouse constructed to support clinical decision making on over 100 million data points in addition to program performance data all via IBM Cognos technology. I was also the subject matter expert on research program integration to screening infrastructure. This includes pilot projects for new diseases such as severe combined immunodeficiency syndrome (SCID) and molecular diagnostic testing leading to increased disease detection and revenue respectively. This work also coincided with several research projects such as carnitine palmitoyltransferase I analysis in samples from Nunavut and umbilical cord blood spot analysis for samples from Guyana and Bangladesh. While at Accreditation Canada I conducted requirements gathering to facilitate the construction of onlineaccreditation infrastructure servicing over 40 domestic and international clients pursuing health careaccreditation. I also designed and implemented Accreditation Canada’s records managementinfrastructure (including training material design) via Microsoft SharePoint 2010.

Assigned to the Client Services group at CIHR I’m performing a Current State Business Process Analysis with several key stakeholders, while identifying documentation needs (both online and in-house) for both policy and procedures. The end goal is to deliver process improvement recommendations while updating existing documentation.

Assigned to the Quality Assurance department I was charged with maintaining and upgrading the reporting mechanisms for our Travel Stores, Travel Services Call Centre and Member Service call Centre. This includes the delivery of metrics to executives. I also coordinated the reporting of detailed survey information. In addition to the duties I was also charged with spearheading process improvement initiatives in the various business units.
