With over 20 years of experience in internal communications, I am passionate about creating and delivering impactful messages that inform, inspire, and engage employees across diverse and complex organizations. My core competencies include communications planning, corporate communications, and financial communications. As the Head of Employee Communications at Biffa, I lead a team of three that produces all internal comms for over 11,000 colleagues, aligning with the company's vision, values, and strategic priorities.In my current role, I am responsible for a variety of internal comms channels and campaigns, ranging from weekly bulletins, intranet, and app, to ongoing wellbeing and diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as a transformation campaign centred on the implementation of a new HR system. I use my skills in communications planning, stakeholder management, and content creation to ensure that the comms are clear, consistent, and relevant, and that they foster a culture of collaboration, feedback, and recognition. I also measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the comms, and continuously seek opportunities to improve and innovate.
