I rejoined Lend Lease after almost 16 years working for some of the largest global contractors and developers in senior roles. Lend Lease Corporation is a global property company operating in four regions being Australia, EMEA, Americas and Asia. As Managing Director of the Asia region I am responsible for the performance of the countries we operate in being, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Japan. We have a head count of 2000 very diverse technical, managerial and administrative staff within the PMC business. I have an executive team of 8 people reporting directly to myself. Lend Lease came to Singapore 40 years ago to work on some of the early HDB programmes as a contractor introducing innovative construction techniques which are now used globally. My role was to grow the business in a sustainable manner ensuring profitability, a strong safety culture, client satisfaction and innovation in our current markets as well as to explore possible entry into other Asian countries. I have established Special Business Units (SBU’s) in the markets of education, Life Science, Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality and telecommunications to ensure we are focused on these specific growth markets where we feel our value add we result in greater profitability and less competition. Lend Lease is also a developer and we target to have approx. 40% of pipeline projects being internally generated.

September 2010 To October 2011

Head of the Real Estate and Hospitality Business Unit (MREH). This unit is Mubadala’s real estate arm with direct investments in large scale projects in Abu Dhabi as well as investments in Asia and The United States. MREH also has several subsidiary companies and assets that supported our local and international businesses. My role was to ensure the strategic direction of Mubadala was maintained and that the unit was positioned to take advantage of movements within the various sectors. Our major development is the delivery of Sowwah Island, Abu Dhabi new CBD. This is a highly publicised and prestigious project for Abu Dhabi, a financial hub for the city. It comprises of a Stock Exchange, Office Towers, Hotels, Retail and Land Bank. My role involved the international negotiations (for selling plots and land), leasing and all aspects of managing the PM’s for the different portions of the project from land reclamation, infrastructure, design, collaborating with the different entities and government bodies in Abu Dhabi with the Real Estate Team assigned to me.The following are other major projects and or business under my direct control:-• Arzanah. Major Urban development in Abu Dhabi with a built out value of US$8bn• Sowwah Island Retail JV• Abu Dhabi Entertainment Company. Partnership with Global Spectrum• Rihan Heights. Partnership with Capitaland• Rosewood Hotel – Sowwah Island• Four Seasons Hotel – Sowwah SquareIn my role as Head of Real Estate and Hospitality I was also responsible for the management of Mubadala’s Asset Portfolio and JV’s, which comprised of:-• Global Capital Development – Chairman and Board Member• John Buck International - Director• P F Emirates.• Viceroy Hotel Group – Board Member• Capitala – Board Member• Viceroy Maldives – Chairman and Board Member• Zayed Sports City – Chairman, Mubadala World Tennis Championship

In September 2009 I transferred from Capitala to Mubadala as a senior advisor to the Director. My responsibilities were to support him on all development aspects of the MREH business and set strategy including a local retail plan for Sowwah and Arzanah.

Capitala is a JV between Mubadala and Capitaland. I was relocated from Capitaland, Singapore to take on this role following the decision not to pursue the Logistics platform throughout Asia.As Deputy CEO I was responsible for the day to day requirements of this major residential development within the Arzanah Master Plan. Capitala had one project, being Rihan Heights that was valued at AED2.5bn planned to be completed in March 2012. Capitala had full development responsibilities for this project including design, financing, delivery, sales and property management.

In 2003 Peter was keen to return to Australia and take on a new challenge in his career. Peter joined Australand Holdings as General Manager for Commercial Construction which at that stage involved the overseeing of over 100,000m2 of Premium and A Grade Commercial space in Sydney and Melbourne.In 2005 Peter was asked to take up the position as General Manager for the NSW Business Unit for all Commercial and Industrial. This role was the overall management of a development business involving the purchasing of land, zoning, design of business parks and industrial estates and the transfer of ownership to Australand’s Property trust or sale to third partiesIn late 2007 the Australand Board decided to explore the expansion of their Industrial and Logistics business into Asia with particular focus on China, India, Malaysia and Thailand. The expansion was setup in a JV with Australand’s Parent Company, Capitaland. My roles was Australand’s Asian General Manager. This expansion plan was placed on hold in late 2008 due to the forecasted downturn in world markets

Singapore

Retail Management Skills became a critical element required by Multiplex for their Asian expansion and I was appointed as PM to the Promenade Shopping Centre Refurbishment setting up the framework for a sustainable business in Singapore. During this time the focus on quality resulted in the formation of strong alliances within Singapore for the company with a turnover of S$10m in 1997 and in excess of S$150m, with a spread of contracts across all sectors.Multiplex’s business spread throughout Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia with a total work force of 50 staff and over 300 workers.With my business skills in and knowledge of the retail, commercial and residential my responsibilities increased to my overseeing most of the retail related projects such as Pentwater Place, Aldi Supermarkets, Megamart and Bunnings warehouse and Latitude Retail at the base of the MPX site in George Street.This was followed by setting up a Dubai based operation for Multiplex while tendering the commercial development at Emirates Towers.

Responsible for planning, procurement and structural works on this high-technology campus and the Sydney Football Stadium, one of the first new major stadiums in Australia.The Civil & Civic training and network was an important part of my development over the following ten years. My role progressed me to Site Manager and Project Manager. During this period I was actively involved in some of Sydney most prestigious projects being:• Sydney Football Stadium• Parramatta Stadium• ANA Hotel, Sydney • Presbyterian Ladies College, Croydon
