Country Manager - Qatar Airways, Bangladesh (Nov, 2013 till Jan, 2019) Took over the GSA set-up and planned for self-handling of passenger operations. Recruited and reorganized the team optimizing resources, ensuring the right person for the job. Revamped the sales model and processes with limited cost of sale and ensured to make provision for their trainings. Finalized on the new branch office and started the process within the laid time frame. Negotiated addition flights with Civil Aviation to operate 28 flights a week and consistently demonstrated revenue growth and positioned QR as the leading airline.I have been extremely successful in effectively addressing fund remittance and taxation, which is a challenge for most of the airline, considering the tedious processes and the absence of dialogue with the regulatory bodies.My Job responsibilities include:• Responsible for managing operations within Bangladesh. This involves taking responsibility for route profitability, country revenue, sales and resource management• Responsible for managing industry affairs and aero political affairs. Communicate effectively with Civil Aviation, IATA, Trade Associations, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Finance and other ministries as warranted.• Agreeing annual revenue targets and budgets and producing a detailed annual business operating plan. Deliver positive revenue results and ensuring profitability of the route.• Study business performance reports to recommend strategies• Recruit and manage staff, including performance monitoring, and possibly mentoring, coaching and training.• Communicate effectively within the organization as well as in the trade and be visible.• Ensure compliance of standard operating procedures, protocols and delegation of authority.
