Business Development Officer & Business Controller for the parent company, PolarBear Partners AB, which manages companies such as Internet Vikings AB, Wincher AB and Cranker AB. Main work tasks consist of:- Business control function according to set objectives and in line with the company’s overall strategy and policy- Operational reporting and analysis- Driving process development- Ad hoc analysis- Driving budget and forecast work- Providing financial support and acting as a sounding board for management and the Board of Directors- Ongoing work to improve reporting and analysis tools- Initiator and Project Manager for business development projects

As I was already very familiar with this activity I also took on this role while working as the Head of Business Planning & Control. My work involved leading a group of eight people at Media Planning to optimise Internet presence and tailor it to the needs of clients through strategic and tactical annual plans, including elements and measures within internet strategy, search engine optimisation, search word advertising, social media, web development, affiliate marketing, web analysis, etc. In many cases we worked as a full service agency for our clients within internet marketing. This role involved budget responsibility and I also had dedicated account managers who reported to me in respect of new sales and customer care. This position otherwise primarily involved business intelligence, product development, analysis, structuring and coordination. I was on the management team for Getupdated Internet Marketing from when I started.

The objective of my role as Head of Business Planning & Control was to continuously make the company even more efficient, scalable and profitable. I worked with the product managers on an ongoing basis to improve their processes and products and was also responsible for ensuring that the functional organisation’s interface with the Finance Department worked. In summary, my work tasks comprised business planning, business control and scalability. I set the company’s budget, proposed how the company should achieve its objectives, defined and analysed commercial and operational KPIs, evaluated the profitability of the company’s products and was also responsible for our internal production and invoicing systems as well as our CRM system, etc.

Ryce Directory Intelligence was one of 12 other companies that merged to form Getupdated Internet Marketing, with over 300 employees. My task as the Quality & Process Manager was to combine these 12 different companies into a single integrated company, an enormous challenge that not everyone would care to take on. Synergy effects were to be identified and realised at the same time as redundancy was dealt with. The work involved producing and defining sales processes, contract processes, invoicing processes, production processes, etc. On a more concrete level I also produced sales presentations, product materials, price lists, standard quotation forms, order confirmations, sales reports, product statistics, etc. I also functioned as an indirect Product Manager for the ‘Media Planning’ product owing to my previous role at Ryce Directory Intelligence, and also continued to be responsible for some of their major customers to avoid losing touch with ‘reality’. Together with my staff of six employees I became a common denominator between sales, production, finance and the Executive Management Team, of which I was also a member.

I had the honour of building up a company from two to 24 employees. Ryce Directory Intelligence was the first company in Sweden to adopt a niche strategy as an agency within search media where, for example, we surveyed how Swedes search for information about products and services and produced detailed media plans on this basis. The work comprised sales to market and information managers, production of product packages, payment models, analysis models, etc. I sat on the Board of Directors and Executive Management Team for Ryce Directory Intelligence. We were bought up by Getupdated Internet Marketing in September 2007.

NMA (BlueCarrot) specialises in branding and communication efficiency. In my role as Project Manager & Analyst, I helped my clients to improve the impact of communication through advice and support in strategic and tactical decisions. The starting point was a deep understanding of the consumer, concrete analyses of brand development and the effect of various communication initiatives. This was achieved through both quantitative market research, situation assessments and brand tracking as well as qualitative in-depth interviews and focus groups. We made use of the market’s key tools for providing clients, advertising agencies and media agencies with the right information to facilitate the understanding for customers.

My work involved participating at an early stage of the sales process by supporting the Sales Department before, during and after customer visits. Our projects required us to function as an advertising agency, web agency and media channel in parallel as we offered total solutions, from the concept stage to the actual presentation in the media. After a project was commissioned, I was responsible for production and worked a great deal with web, editorial and development departments, drove ongoing projects and had close and ongoing contact with clients and media agencies. I also assumed the role of Statistics and Analysis Officer, with the task of analysing/compiling and presenting all of the ‘results’ before, during and after every campaign.

I was personally responsible for the Microsoft account in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. My work tasks included the development, coordination, analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation of Microsoft’s activities at the retail stage. I was also involved and worked with LG Electronics and its establishment in Sweden. This work comprised visiting product and market managers of medium-sized and large companies and providing them with information about LG as a company and its range of products. I achieved great success with these sales.
