In my current role as VP, Business Development at RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS), I provide business development expertise for the entire portfolio of RTI-HS services (Health Economics, Market Access & Outcomes Strategy, Epidemiology, Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment, Biostats, Surveys & Observational Studies, Health Preference Assessment and Clinical & Medical Services). I also have the honor of leading an incredible Business Development Team. I leverage various skills based on 30 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. I have a wide range of experience in customer relationship management, people management, sales, medical and drug information, marketing support, clinical trials, and product safety. I have succesfully negotiated several preferred provider relationships with key strategic accounts. As a pharmacist, I began my career in 1988 working with GSK as a pharmaceutical representative in Monterey, CA. In 1992, I joined Ask the Pharmacist, a nationally known leader in the provision of medical and drug information services. I served as the Vice President of Sales and Client Operations and became responsible for operations, training, QA, HR, IT, and sales and marketing with 7 direct reports and 120 indirect reports. During this time, I was involved in the launch of more than 35 products, as well as several drug recall/withdrawal projects. In 1999, I played a key role in the $30M+ acquisition of Ask the Pharmacist by PPD, Inc. While at PPD, I served as Senior Business Development Executive for PPD Market Development, focused on selling their late-phase suite of services, which included marketing-support programs, patient registries, postmarket studies (Phase IIIb/IV), medical and drug information, risk management, health outcomes, and Rx-to-OTC switch studies.
