CurrentVolunteer Management1. Recruit, train, and oversee all hospice volunteers engaged in direct patient care as well as wider hospice support roles.2. Conduct interviews, background checks, and all onboarding procedures for hospice volunteer base.3. Develop and implement new instructional programs for volunteers and staff working in areas of grief and bereavement. 4. Create engaging retention strategies for new and longstanding volunteers.5. Ensure strict compliance with all hospice, Medicare, and healthcare partner policies.6. Maintain highly accurate EMR documentation and reporting to clinical leads.Bereavement Programs1. Provide 1 to 1 bereavement support for family, friends, and caregivers after the passing of loved ones.2. Oversee community based bereavement support groups and other programs for those processing grief and loss.4. Assemble peer-reviewed, culturally competent materials for clients and staff members experiencing grief and loss.3. Develop professional trainings on grief, loss, and other areas of mental health support for hospice clinicians.4. Work alongside local healthcare providers to evaluate current support needs surrounding caregiving, social wellbeing, grief, and bereavement.5. Develop and implement caregiver support programs for family and professional caregivers.
