Assisted both public and private sector clients to interrogate and visualise large complex data sets, working closely with Directors and Senior Management to inform business planning decisions. Recent work includes developing a Primary Care workforce model which is being rolled out across Greater Manchester, working in the energy sector with UK Power Networks to develop their RIIO-ED1 Business Plan, and developing a dynamic programme simulation model for a major government organisation using system dynamics.

Reported to the Deputy Director of SportHired to set up and manage a Performance Analysis / Sports Technology Department providing support across 13 different sports academies, consisting of 420 athletes and 50 coaches / general managers. Developed a framework for the provision of performance analysis / biomechanical support and wrote a 5 year strategy towards providing world-leading performance analysis and biomechanics support within youth sport. Negotiated and established collaborations with external research institutions. Managed all sports science support for the fencing academy as well as for international athletes in their preparation for London 2012.- Enabled previously unachievable automated monitoring of athletes' wellbeing across the entire school by developing online questionnaires and processing responses using code written in Matlab.- Developed and launched an online performance management database for the track and field academy, improving the accessibility of critical athlete data, providing significant time savings, and dramatically increasing reporting capabilities by storing data within an SQL database.- Directly influenced school-wide managerial decisions by identifying new key performance indicators and establishing the first strategic collaboration between sports science departments.- Saved thousands of dollars in software costs by sourcing free software / creating programmes providing specific capabilities.

Employed to lead the development and application of a novel mathematical / statistical methodology enabling the identification of key elements of spin bowling technique (in cricket) which determine important aspects of performance in international spin bowlers.

Worked alongside Lead Fast Bowling Coach & Lead Physiotherapist.Directly responsible for all biomechanical testing and analysis required by the ECB for all players, ranging from junior academy players to members of the Test Match Teams. Organised and supervised annual data collection sessions involving at least 25 international bowlers and 12 members of staff. Collaborated with leading international sports brands including Adidas and Under Armour in the development of new products specifically designed for elite cricketers.- Developed a unique and world-leading interactive 3D performance measurement system which, when combined with a novel statistical technique, enabled athletes to actively improve aspects of their technique and minimise their risk of injury.- Devised and implemented highly successful new talent identification methods based on the analysis of huge datasets containing information on bowling performance, technique and the loading on the body. Players identified using these new methods went on to out-perform existing ECB Academy members.- Biomechanics specialist within the ECB Elite Fast Bowling Group. Worked alongside the Lead Coach, Lead Physiotherapist and Chief Doctor - identified as the model of best practice within UK Sport.- Keynote speaker at the ECB Sports Science and Medicine Conference, 2010.

Worked alongside a pioneering Consultant Radiologist.Developed an image processing script enabling the outcome of vertebroplasty procedures to be quantified and statistical analysis performed, directly informing doctors as to the best locations for cement injection.
