A versatile performer bridging classical and improvisational styles, I have worked in many capacities including soloist, arranger, music director, accompanist, conductor, and consultant.I draw from a traditional background in classical music harmony/theory etc. that has been supplemented and enriched by my experiences listening, playing, studying, and teaching jazz and popular forms of music. In approaching compositional projects, I typically investigate and research narrower genres of music for a given project, whether to create an appropriate context for time and place, or provide a distinctive sense of character and atmosphere.
