Peter has 5+ years of applied research and development (R&D) experience for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) platforms. His current work lies in the field of dynamic behavior of materials, continuum mechanics, experimental/computational physics, and hypersonic aerodynamics. His experience in simulation-driven mechanical design, numerical analysis, assembly development, experimental testing, and system integration has led him to become a rising technical talent. Peter's research areas of interest includes the multi-scale mechanics of materials at extreme pressures, strain rates, and temperatures, material response modeling for extreme conditions, and high-speed impact, shock, and penetration mechanics in solid and fluid media.Peter is a senior research engineer and principal investigator with Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL) where he focuses on advanced computational physics research for military defense platforms that support the United States National Defense Strategy. Peter is a strong advocate for global diversity and inclusion (GD&I) and AAPI talent. Peter sits on multiple committees within Lockheed Martin's Professional Asian American Network (PAAN) Business Resource Group (BRG) where he devotes his time to help bring cultural awareness to the communities wherever possible. Peter obtained his B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in mechanics of materials from the University of Central Florida and Johns Hopkins University, respectively. His journey continues as an Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics PhD candidate at the University of Minnesota with a concentration in computational physics of hypersonic flight vehicles.
