I am convinced that an effective controlling organization has an important impact on the success of a company. A standardized controlling infrastructure based on automated processes allows the controller to focus his competence on fulfilling his most important function: providing financial guidance to the company´s business units as an accepted business partner.Over the last years I have been working in almost all fields of controlling at Lufthansa Technik. I developed new standards for the whole Group that improved company steering and increased automation. Some examples: (i) implementation of Cash Flow Steering and Value Based Management in all Business Segments; (ii) development of standardized and automated presentations for board of directors of LHTs international subsidiaries; (iii) setup of a new multifunctional profitability analysis and value driver model for two international subsidiaries.Working with numbers is my passion. I have advanced skills in all common tools such as Excel, VBA, Access, SAP BW, SAC etc. and I am always eager to learn something new. Above all: I know that the most important part of a controller’s job does not take place in Excel, but in the clear, focused and supporting communication with other departments and management.
