We have evidence that a minor behavioral change in operating existing building heating systems (flatter heat profile) the flow temperature can be reduced by 30C or more reducing peak heat demand by >50% and making the building compliant to heat pumps and improving heat network efficiency. In addition, the lower flow temperature will make gas boilers to condense improving boiler efficiency, which isn't the case in traditional 82/71C heating systems.
