Full management responsibility including business development and sales for Etteplan Stockholm and Uppsala offices, consisting of about 40 engineering consultants (Mechanical, SW & Electronics and Documentation). The Stockholm office was under deep pressure during the recession 2008-09. Therefore some major lay-offs was made under Peter’s management. In spring 2010 the business started to be more stable because of the combination of intensive sales efforts and reductions.Customers were within Vehicle industry, Railway Technology, Medtech and consumers product development.Peter was also member of Etteplan management team in Sweden.

Manager, Mechanical Engineering department in Vasteras:Full management responsibility for about 30 mechanical engineering consultants + up to 10 subcontractors. Sales and budget responsibility for the department (about 35 million SEK). The Mechanical Engineering departments deliver services as: - Project management- Mechanical design, using CAD tools as Sold Works, Pro/E, Catia, Inventor, ACAD etc.- Mechanical analysis/calculations, using tools as ANSYS , NEi Nastran, COSMOS and I-deas.- Systems Engineering, working with requirement management and system specifications. The department was in 2008 the most profitable unit within Etteplan in Sweden. The organic growth was about 60% (2006 -> 2008) and profitability raised more than 100% . In parallel Peter developed Etteplans businesses within Railway technology, mainly vehicle related. The turnover and profitability within that field had a substantial growth under his management.

Manager for Vehicle Systems Engineering department at the Vehicle Division.Tasks: Management of 15-20 employees. Fully responsibility for the department regarding economy/budget, project deliverables (development-, tender- and delivery projects), quality, and management of the staff, including development of the staff, hiring and dismissal. The areas of system responsibilities were mainly: Propulsion systems, Electrical high voltage systems (including pantographs), Auxiliary electrical systems (400 VAC, 230 VAC and 110 VDC), Brake & Air supply systems, ATP/ATC systems, Doors and footsteps, Couplers and Gangways, Toilets and other external and internal systems/products. As a line manager at BT, you are heavily involved as an operative manager in the ongoing projects, representing the departments’ responsible areas.
