Peter is a senior strategic advisor and international conflict resolution and community trauma expert who has been inspiring meaningful transformation for individuals, organisations, institutions and government bodies for over 35 years.As a specialist in intergenerational post-conflict mental health, Peter’s compassion, his extensive coaching and counselling experience, coupled with his decades of successful senior executive roles uniquely position him to bring about deep and lasting change for individuals and organisations critical for societal and civic wellbeing. Beginning his career as a clergyman, Peter moved on to specialise in bereavement, mental health, learning disability and addiction services, before eventually taking on significant senior leadership roles such as Group CEO Of Inspire Wellbeing & Director of the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. This vast span of experience has given him a unique combination of skills and insight that allow him to work at depth and in profoundly meaningful ways with individuals and organisations.Peter has always dedicated his time and skills to supporting critical and philanthropic organisations holding roles such as Chair of the Inter-Departmental working group on Mother and Baby Homes and Magdalene Laundries, Chair of the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA) and Trustee of BBC Children in Need to name a few. More recently Peter’s work as a senior strategic advisor spans projects such as developing a more open culture across the health service and hospital reconfiguration across Northern Ireland. Parallel to this, he has worked internationally promoting a deeper understanding of the lasting impact that violence has on vulnerable communities, and particularly how it impacts their ability to rebuild and engage in peace processes. He is a well-known and sought after conference speaker on these topics. Peter continues to play a significant role in senior civic leadership in public life in Northern Ireland. He remains based in Northern Ireland but with extensive international involvement.
