Privacy Compliance: In addition to insurance-related compliance matters, responsible for privacy compliance, including establishing policies concerning the collection, use, and safeguarding of customer and employee information in the U.S. and abroad. As Progressive's privacy officer, established the infrastructure and actively coordinate the legal and management teams necessary to ensure Progressive’s compliance with federal and state privacy laws governing use of customer information.Marketing & Advertising Support: Responsible for marketing group support for Progressive, a Fortune 100 company and one of the largest advertisers in the U.S., including trademarks and copyrights, and advertising review and compliance for all media, including TV, radio, print and Internet. In this role, negotiated hundreds of sponsorships, including the naming rights to Progressive Field® with the Cleveland Indians Baseball Club. Also responsible for talent agreements, movie integrations, sweepstakes, contests, and influencer agreements.Litigation Management & Dispute Resolution: Provide oversight and coordinate litigation and dispute resolution efforts with outside counsel concerning areas of practice. Commercial Transactions: Stood up and managed the insurance transactions practice group at Progressive, handling the majority of contracting matters for The Progressive Group, including software licensing, strategic alliances, and independent agency contracts.
