Worked on initiatives to improve supply chain and materials management processes for KP's new Oakland Medical Center. Project was undertaken upon opening of the $3 billion facility and in the midst of initial implementation of the Affordable Care Act -- a crucial period when KP was eager to find cost savings throughout its daily operations. Worked closely with a small team of consultants, KP leadership, and front-line staff across all domains of the hospital to significantly reduce budget and actual expenses for a wide range of medical supplies. Helped the hospital equip what eventually became California's first accredited treatment center for a potential ebola outbreak. Consistently exceeded goals and targets, devised and documented new supply-chain workflows still in use at the hospital today.
