Projects included the replacement of a 65 foot tall sour-service quench tower, installation of nitrogen metering panels for three furnaces, and installation of an elevated rain shield over an existing furnace. Funding packages were developed using engineering, construction and project support from several BP sub-contractors, and continuous involvement of BP Operations & Management.3. BP Chemical Plant - Prepared Funding Authorization and Work Execution packages for three turnaround projects in BP’s Paraxylene Unit with TIC’s ranging from $30K to $100K. Projects involved new flow control valves for flare system, repair of 42” tower nozzle, addition of eductor in xylene drum.
