Units included Sulphur Recovery (licensed), Sulphur Granulation & Storage, Amine Regeneration, and Sour Water Stripper. (Was ranked at 65% percentile in PE-5 job classification after 1-1/2 years)Managed Sulphur Block engineering, schedule, procurement, and Client relations. Engineering was performed with majority of hours from New Delhi office, and included re-design of Client provided FEED package, and design approvals from Client and Russian Design Institute. Russian engineering contractors were used for tanks, buildings, and 150m incinerator stack. Tracked and expedited equipment procurement under challenging Client-directed rules, in particular a $26MM Sulphur Granulation package. Sulphur Engineering staff was 250 of an overall task force of 1100.

Direct responsibility for three areas: E&P of LPG loading facilities on newly constructed jetty, management of all project tie-ins, and equipment spares. (was promoted from job title PE-4 to PE-5 after 1 year of service.)1. E&P of LPG loading facilities – managed Engineering & Procurement scope, schedule, and deliverables for ship-side loading facility including tie-ins at an adjacent jetty, product metering, surge relief, and 3 loading arms for propane and butane products. Execution required capture of design lessons from concurrent start-up of a similar loading facility, and obtaining Operator’s approval for design alignment with other Owner facilities on the same Jetty.2. Project Tie-Ins – led 4 discipline teams in identifying various Operator tie-in approval requirements, and facilitated tie-in package development to meet project schedule. Scope included piping, control systems, electrical, and telecommunications tie-ins.3. Equipment Spares – directly managed team of 6 engineers and Procurement Manager to collect extensive lists of vendor data for all equipment tags to satisfy RasGas/Exxon Maintenance requirements, and develop a Client-specified database to store the spares

Project Manager - BP Texas City Infrastructure Small-Cap projects and Refinery Turnaround projects:1. BP Refinery Docks – concurrently managed three projects for BP’s Refinery Docks with Total Installed Costs (TIC’s) ranging from $1.4MM to $2.4MM. Projects included the replacement of the Docks emergency shut-down system, an upgrade of the Dock 38 hose support system with structural modifications and replacement of the hydraulic hose lift crane, and an upgrade of the Docks’ fire protection system including replacement of firewater pumps, dual-walled diesel storage tanks, and addition of remote control to the firewater pumps & valves. EPC execution included preparation of BP funding authorization packages (DSPs) with on-going involvement of BP Operations, Maintenance & Project Management. Using engineering and project support resources from several BP sub-contractors, directly managed approved engineering scope, project schedule and cost, and coordinated construction with on-site BP Operations to comply with procedures, and minimize interference with on-going Operations. 2. BP Refinery - Prepared Funding Authorization packages for three turnaround projects in BP’s Sulfur Recovery Unit with TIC’s ranging from $80K to $1.1MM. Projects included the replacement of a 65 foot tall sour-service quench tower, installation of nitrogen metering panels for three furnaces, and installation of an elevated rain shield over an existing furnace. Funding packages were developed using engineering, construction and project support from several BP sub-contractors, and continuous involvement of BP Operations & Management.3. BP Chemical Plant - Prepared Funding Authorization and Work Execution packages for three turnaround projects in BP’s Paraxylene Unit with TIC’s ranging from $30K to $100K. Projects involved new flow control valves for flare system, repair of 42” tower nozzle, addition of eductor in xylene drum.
