As an experienced IT business strategist, I lead a high-performing team, delivering commercial growth and opportunities for Datacom and our vendor portfolios where we align across the Modern Workplace, Applications, Networks, Infrastructure, Cloud and Security. With a strong record of delivering growth through integrating complex technical products and commercial environments, I’ve spent more than 25 years as a leader in the IT industry, driving strategic initiatives to achieve significant results. At Datacom, I bring a deep understanding of our vendor products and a problem-solving approach to every aspect of my work. I love bringing together partner sales and marketing at the top of the funnel, to provide engagement, understand client intent and grow opportunities. It’s exciting to see how we can better help people.As a leader of people, I encourage my national team to treat the business as if it were their own, and empower them to make decisions, solve problems and develop their own professional skills. My previous studies in psychology drive understanding of people and their motivations, in order to be a better leader and mentor. At Datacom, we help power the infrastructure that underpins our society - from developing applications for OrganMatch Australia to improve donor matching, through to managing the infrastructure that runs Sydney’s trains. It’s the IT that powers the lives of everyday Australians. We understand that IT is an enabler, only when used in-line with client culture, and offer all components in the lifecycle management process across end-user computing, datacentres and hybrid cloud.I’m someone who delivers on their commitments and sees projects through from conception to completion. I’m straightforward in my approach, and I enjoy identifying collaborative opportunities to create solutions to complex problems. Developing relationships and trust across my strong network means if I don’t have the answer, then I’ll probably know someone else who will. I contribute as a volunteer for ThinkUKnow Australia, which is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Datacom and Microsoft Australia, and delivered in partnership with all State and Territory police forces and Neighbourhood Watch Australasia providing education and advice, through school P&C meetings, on tech safety to parents and the wider school communities.Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and three kids, I play really bad golf but enjoy the 19th hole and I’m actively involved in the local soccer club.
