As a volunteer with RACES and ARES organizations, we use our skills, resources and experience to assist county and local government with emergency amateur radio. RACES was formed to establish and maintain the leadership and organizational infrastructure necessary to provide amateur radio communications in support of emergency management entities throughout the United States and its territories. I have been a volunteer (49701) with the American Red Cross for over 25 years. On the local level, I work with Northern Minnesota ARC in Minnesota and Dakotas in family services, shelter management, liaison with county EOC / Community Partners, and have been an instructor for disaster & health and safety services. In regional and national disaster responses I work in information technology areas (DST), planning and intelligence.

Anyone who meets me for even a short time should be left with the impression that I regard the role of technological skills and competence as being vital to the overall educational experience of today's student.
