I am a data scientist, environmental scientist, and all around nerd. I have a diverse background in programming, machine learning, data science, biology, and climate science. This gives me a unique ability to comprehend scientific data while also understanding the complex computational concepts required to process, analyze, and gain insights into data.I enjoy working with both technical and non-technical users to solve problems. One of my favorite challenges is taking complex technical concepts and finding ways to communicate them to non-technical audiences, so they can understand the value of a particular system, process, or algorithm. I also work on Data Governance issues - if you are not measuring the right things, or your data is not accessible or of sufficient quality, then it doesn't matter what fancy analytics tools you have!I am also an avid car enthusiast with a special interest in electric vehicles. I look forward to some day doing track days with an EV and not using an ounce of gasoline. I am always looking to expand my technical and scientific skills and I like to spend my down time lost in narrative driven video games or learning how to design virtual worlds in Unity or build objects in Blender.
