I am a graduate of California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and concentration in Manufacturing. I currently am using my degree and diverse background as a Project Manager at Arris Composites, where I drive and deliver successful projects through detailed project planning, strategic thinking and clear communication.I am a self-motivated individual that is eager to learn. Cal Poly's "Learn by Doing" motto encouraged me to look past the books and actually apply our knowledge to hands on projects. This drove me to take my first job as a Precision Machinist, where I was able to gain an understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes. This experience aided my design capabilities as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Mechanical Technologist, where I could design parts with the manufacturing plan in mind, produce prototypes as well as the final parts and manage the entire process along the way. While working as a Mechanical Technologist, I was on a small team where it was pertinent to wear many hats to bring the project to life. Here I leveraged my understanding of manufacturing and mechanical design, but began to tap into the project management by coordinating with contractors and vendors, as well as, leading meetings for the project stakeholders. From this I found a passion for Project Management and decided to move into my current role. I am excited to take my engineering knowledge, passion for learning and organizational skills to be a productive member of society, with hopes of making a difference in the future of engineering. Outside of work I enjoy the exploring the outdoors, fitness, action sports, traveling and food!
