Peter Baumgart founded the digital orthodontics company PlusDental in Berlin/Germany. With his co-founders, he is building up this direct-to-consumer business supplying clear aligner treatments for malocclusion. PlusDental provides teeth straightening treatments much more conveniently and at a lower price than traditional treatments through the use of modern technology.Before founding PlusDental, Peter founded the online car dealership Carspring in 2015. With his Co-Founder, he built up Europe's first truly online used car dealership. Carspring allows customers to buy cars from the comfort of their home and also arranges financing for their customers.Prior to that, Peter was a consultant at McKinsey & Company from 2010-2015. At McKinsey, he worked across various industries (e.g. retail, insurance, heavy industries) and functions (e.g. strategy, supply chain management). During his time at McKinsey, Peter also did research on the influence of freedom on the usage of social media, which concluded in his PhD at the university of Nuremberg. Before joining McKinsey, he studied Business Administration at WHU in Koblenz as well as in Tokyo and Buenos Aires. He speaks German, English, Spanish and Japanese.
