Peter Bayne has built a critically acclaimed career as a film, TV, and theatre composer, yielding an expansive body of work in a wide variety of genres. He established himself as a pianist, composer and conductor in the avant-garde classical scene, lending him a facility and imagination as an orchestrator and sound artist.His prolific work in the theatre has garnered him numerous awards from, among others, the Ovation Awards, the LA Drama Critics Circle and LA Weekly. Selected credits in theatre include those with Center Theatre Group, South Coast Repertory, American Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare & Company, The Antaeus Company, A Noise Within, Boston Court, The Actor's Gang, The Colony Theatre, Skylight Theatre Company, Rogue Machine, The Fountain Theatre, and The Actor's Shakespeare Project.In 2015, with composer Mike Sempert, Peter founded West Channel, a full service music house specializing in custom score of all genres. West Channel has scored national campaigns and ad spots for major brands such as Visa, Dunkin Donuts, Electrolux, Cabelas, Facebook, Taco Bell, Salesforce, Otterbox, and Cointreau among many others. He produces leftfield electronic music, and performs as a multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and vocalist.
