Senior Marine Corps attorney in Western Pacific provided legal advice and support to Commanding General, staff and major subordinate commands comprising 17,000 Marine Corps personnel. Served as senior U.S. military legal advisor for several real-world international operations and provided legal advice on international, operational, military justice and administrative law matters. Served as senior deployed U.S. military legal advisor to a combined force, including representatives and liaison officers from U.S. and foreign military personnel, governmental and non-governmental agencies, established in Thailand in response to the 2004 Indian Asian tsunami. While attending post-tsunami international legal conference in Thailand, served as panel chair to lead discussions concerning legal issues surrounding international humanitarian disaster and relief operations. Instructed senior staff of Sri Lankan Army on law of armed conflict, and provided to senior Vanuatu government officials the legal framework for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
