Principal Analysis Engineer, Automotive Technology
Current- Virtual and physical verification and validation engineering and management- Advanced FEA analysis (static & dynamic structural, thermal, fatigue)- Operational Sound Quality (OSQ) development & troubleshooting of interior systems- Requirements management (PTC Codebeamer)- Powertrain CAE (1D TVA, Base engine MBD, engine mount vibration analysis, bespoke coupler design & analysis)- Project management (up to £130k sales value) and leadership- Proposal writing (inc. timing plans, costing)- Heat exchanger design & CFD (coupled thermal+flow)- Commissioning & running engine + 400VDC e-machine in a dyno environment- Torsional vibration measurement, data processing & analysis using MATLAB/SimScape, C++- Weight investigation across a set of competitor vehicles, various CPSC codes, and deep dive/post-mortem with OEM to understand decisions/processes/targets which drove excess mass into the design
