This began as a gig migrating a busy ecommerce/community site from buggy closed-source forum and ecommerce packages to an integrated install of Xcart (ecommerce) and Vbulletin (discussion), and became a full-time job that lasted until regulatory problems (FDA) put an end to the company. Did extensive custom PHP/MYSQL work creating new functionality for XCart and VBulletin and integrating them with a number of marketing, CMS, and accounting systems. Interviewed and managed a small team of developers. Configured and managed *nix web server and did extensive work to improve performance of both OSS packages, particularly optimizing resource-intensive SQL queries from VBulletin.
