Actively involved with his community, Peter Bergstein belongs to several philanthropic organizations, including the Lubbock Rotary Club, the Texas Tech Club, the Red Raider Organization, and the First United Methodist Church. Peter Bergstein also has served as the chair of the All Saints Episcopal School board and sat on the boards of the Lubbock Rotary Club, the Lubbock Emergency Planning Committee, and the Methodist Hospital. In addition, he provides support to the South Plains Food Bank, Inc., which collects food and distributes it to other charitable organizations and individuals. His wife’s parents founded this organization in 1983.Peter Bergstein additionally donates to the Texas Boys Ranch, a residential program for children between the ages of 3 and 18. At the ranch, youth live in small cabins with houseparent couples. This arrangement creates a family environment for the children. Recreationally, Mr. Bergstein enjoys flying airplanes and maintains licensure as a pilot. He belongs to the American Private Pilot Association. He is also an enthusiastic fly-fisherman, skier, and sailor.
