The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for operational and workforce planning, budgeting and finance, business intelligence and reporting, risk and business continuity management. The position also manages the procurement of goods and services; audit responses, policy and procedure development; system development, information reporting and is part 'owner' with the University Registrar of the SAP Student System. Achievements- led University-wide project to develop student information reporting dashboards and reports utilizing SAP data warehouse and Business Objects;- developed revised workforce plan and related organizational chart and job descriptions to promote effective restructuring and alignment of functions with plans; - improved planning processes (developed operational and risk management plan);- successfully on-boarded the 2011, 2012 and 2013, 2014 student intake; - reduced paper flow for student reimbursements and Stipend payments through the redevelopment of information supplied to staff and students;- various lean six-sigma and automation projects;- completed annual budget development, reforecast and related monthly reporting; and- re-mapped the processing of all student transactions to simplify monthly financial analysis.

These roles concentrated on risk management; maintenance of effective systems of internal control, budgets and other corporate reporting. I was also responsible for activities such as procurement, insurance, business continuity, contract management and liaison with internal and external audit. I was also the Company Secretary for the University's subsidiary company Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast Pty Ltd.Achievements- developed a consistent approach to Operating planning throughout the University that promoted greater linkages to Strategic plans and related performance indicators;- led a restructure of Financial Services that resulted in significant improvements in productivity and customer service levels;- developed University’s policies and procedures in relation to: risk management, contract management, critical incident management and business continuity management;- introduced various efficiencies in the procurement area that resulted in operational savings;- implementation of an upgraded Payroll system and new Finance system; and- developed relationship with internal and external audit that led to a reduction in the frequency of external audits.

This role focused on:- being the senior relationship manager with health providers and professional associations- contract negotiation and compliance to contracts with private hospitals - cost of claims servicing (by introducing strategies and funding models that create business efficiencies)- financial and health service trend analysis- compliance to statutory requirements requiring a an understanding of contact and business law- complaint strategy for managing business risksAchievements- developed insurance products in consultation with marketing and providers;- completed state-wide budgets income and expenditure budgets for claims and income; - negotiated the first contractual arrangement with a hospital in Queensland for the organization;- implemented the first national strategy for the purchasing of hospital services that promoted an operating savings and simplified billing arrangements (awarded the inaugural MBF (now Bupa) Managing Directors High Achiever Award); and- responsible for e-business initiatives in management information (awarded the MBF Operations Division Award for Efficiency Improvement).

Maintenance of syndicated loans, audits of risk management processes such as internal controls, operational, credit and market risk. This included audits of international banking, retail and corporate banking and foreign exchange dealing areas. Achievements- Detected a significant external risk (awarded formal commendation by Chief Manager for Europe).
