Having spent 13 enjoyable years in the building trade as a carpenter the economic downturn forced me into a career change in 2010. Since then I have completed a FETAC level 5 course in Computer Hardware and Software Maintenance which was the starting point for my career in Information Technology. As part of this course I was fortunate to find placement in RBK Chartered Accounts within the IT section, where over the last seven years I have gained valuable on the job experience working with experienced and highly knowledgeable senior IT Engineers.I have also studied full time over my first 4 years with RBK and along with passing my studies in (BSc) Computer Network Management at Athlone Institute of Technology with Distinction, I also graduated with First Class Honors from my BSC honors degree in Network Management and Cloud Infrastructure. My objectives for the future are to continue to improve my knowledge of Networks and build my experience in working as a IT Specialist, whilst also achieving external qualifications in Windows Server and Microsoft exams. I also hope to continue to learn and stay up to date with cloud and IoT Technologies.
