Oversee the setup of a dedicated Cyber Security business unit. Setup and Maintain Policy and Procedure documentation as it relates to Cyber Security within the business. Ensure internal compliance of Cyber Security policies. Train and upskill technical staff on Cyber Security as well as best practices as it relates to their individual roles. Ensure that the current business infrastructure is secure according to industry best practices. Manage and monitor the business infrastructure for potential breaches. Testing and Analysis of new security technologies. Maintain key relationships with vendors of security products and services.Assist clients with the creation of Cyber Security Policy and Procedure documentation. Perform Security Audits, User Access Reviews and Penetration testing. Assist clients with regulatory compliance regulations such as POPIA as it relates to Cyber Security. Oversee and manage projects related to Cyber Security such as, (not limited to): Design of Security Solutions based on a client’s Needs Analysis. Deployment of Firewall’s Deployment of E-mail Hygiene Services. Deployment of Anti-Virus, EDR and SIEM solutions. System Security Hardening Assist technical team with non-security related projects and rollouts to ensure compliance with Cyber Security best practices. Monitor client infrastructure for potential breaches. Lead security and technical teams in the event of a breach of client infrastructure. Investigate cyber security breaches.

Open Source Technologies, founder by myself in 2004 was a full service IT Support company offering pro-active IT service to small and medium sized companies.As the company founder, I took care of all the clients technical needs and eventually grew the company to support around 25 servers, both Linux and Windows as well as around 250 Workstations spread across about 15 clients.In addition, my responsibilities included supervision of staff which at it's peak included 6 staff members as well as the other day to day responsibilities such as business administration, sales and marketing.After a personal event forced me to re-locate to Cape Town in 2010, I merged this operation with Open Mind Technologies and took up a position with them as Regional Manager for the Cape Town division.
