About Peter Brindle

I am looking for board advisor or non-executive director roles with early-stage companies or with later stage companies which are looking to enter new health and care related territories. I want work with founders and boards to help them refine their product and market, navigate the complexities of health and care systems and produce the right evidence to satisfy potential customers. I have a rare combination of board-level leadership experience, strong data, analytical and research skills, and a proven track record of building and motivating teams to tackle real life challenges within healthcare and research. I have a deep understanding of how the health and care system works, the key challenges, and how decisions are made. I am told that I am example of collaborative leadership at its best - an excellent communicator who listens and responds. My values include high ethical standards, inclusivity, expertise, continuous improvement, and teamwork with the intention of making a real difference to people’s lives and where ever possible, reducing inequalities.I am excited by the potential that innovation in data, digital and devices has for tackling the considerable challenges faced by the health and care sector. I am driven by a desire to use my skills in the use of data, team building and clinical leadership, to prevent ill health, help people access the right care when they need it – especially the most disadvantaged, and to improve the outcomes that matter to patients. Key to achieving this is a happy, well led and supported workforce and I strive to help my team members be the very best they can. I am proud to be both an honorary professor at the University of Bristol and a visiting professor at the University of the West of England. These positions represent my drive for promoting intelligence informed care, continuous improvement and for supporting research that makes a difference. As well has having a range of non-clinical roles, I still love being a practicing GP and it keeps me grounded in peoples experiences and needs. Feel free to DM me!
