Took over this role from various consultant types. The Enterprise needed to be updated and standardized. Consolidated file servers and updated all networking to Meraki equipment. Replaced tape based backup system with Druva/Dell Apex cloud based backups. Stood up a Dell HCI cluster solution to which all stand alone servers were consolidated too. Onboarded a VPN tunnel to the Azure platform to enable Azure Virtual Desktops and Off-site Domain controller. Refreshed desktops with Windows 11 machines. During the pandemic, successfully manage moving this entire organization to a "work from home" configuration. Leveraged the Meraki VPN to ensure transparent work setting for all. Always striving to reduce overhead we moved all phone systems to the Microsoft Voice platform and shut down all Shoretel/Miltel devices. Stood up a SharePoint Intranet Hub on the Microsoft 365 platform and are starting to move data from file servers to the SharePoint platform.
