People and product, sales and marketing, entrepreneurship and passion are the key elements and drivers of my professional experience in the software/IT industry. After graduating in Computer Science I quickly learned how cool and fun software or service products can be: Get the right people together, be creative, learn and scale. This came to real life with the raise of agile software development and SaaS offerings.I have always been brave enough to discover new opportunities and raise my hand to take the hat and responsibility of starting and building teams and business units or companies. The challenge is always to set the right priorities on the right issues at the right time and to use the right resources efficiently. Fortunately, I have been able to do this in fast-growing companies (including drivers like IPOs, M&A, Start-Up) with great people to build a team and become friends.Having written business plans, sold products, run projects and programs, led sales, customer care, product management and product marketing people, managed companies and entities I always got the full and correct picture by practice. I've also made sure I'm not alone by taking courses in business planning, product management for software products, or an MBA program. Just recently, I started also qualifying for digital transformation roles.I am passionate and diligent on what I do, from the first to the last second. Empathy and resilience are much talked about these days, but they have been with me for more than 30 years. The most important things for me are to make things clear and transparent, to communicate and discuss issues directly and promptly, to work as a team across organizational boundaries, to take and give responsibilities, and to reserve time for feedback.
