With over 25 years of experience in the agribusiness sector, I am a seasoned Non-Executive Director (‘NED’) known for delivering actionable and timely advice to senior leadership. In my NED roles, I have:• Assisted in the definition of strategy and ensured continued focus on its implementation;• Calibrated the strengths of the senior management team and assisted in additions and replacements where needed;• Assessed the capital structure and balance sheet and participated in debt restructuring and balance sheet optimisation where needed; and• Mediated between diverse shareholders and/or board members to navigate a suitable solution.In my previous full time Executive roles, I have:• Headed a team managing a portfolio of 70,000ha of European Farmland;• Overseen a €5bn international portfolio of 200+ minority private equity transactions, where we were adding and exiting around 20 businesses p.a.; • Been an active member of investment committees for more than 10 years reviewing all transactions being considered within my area of responsibility;• Provided leadership and guidance to the management of a diverse €2bn international portfolio of loans, guarantees and equity investments throughout the agribusiness food chain; and• Led a wide range of initiatives to implement new legislation in Eastern Europe & Central Asia, including ground breaking initiatives to find new ways of securely financing the primary agricultural sector.
