Northern Michigan Counseling is a broad service mental health practice. We want to offer an environment where you can address the difficult aspects of your life. In this practice we specialize in a variety of clinical services including: counseling, consulting, family therapy, faith or spiritual based counseling, and trauma therapy. Work one on one in the facility with childen and familys with medicaid. I provide individual counseling as well as family and groups through out the week. Work with all issues from psychosis to adjustment disorders.

Specialize in in-home care of low income, medicaid, and self paid clients needing help with family issues. I work closely with DFCS and other government agencies as a referral source to help families in need.

Direct group therapy for outpatient dual and psych program.

Dual Diagnosis experience. Case Worker Intern providing one-on-one counseling, group counseling, and group psycho-education. Proficient in dealing with insurance companies, treatment planning, and day to day management of patient case needs.

Administer groups on psychotherapy, psycho education, and goal setting. Monitor vital signs. Maintain 15 minute checks on all assigned patients. Perform EEG. Complete daily assessment form for all patients. Assist in psychiatric and medical emergencies. Work with all age, and gender groups.

Direct Support staff for Bradley Cleveland ServicesProvided direct support and care for two mentally disabled males within the client home. Duties include preparing medication for following morning, cooking breakfast, implementing successful action plan due to one client's nighttime habits.October 2005 to 2006 March; Administering and scoring of psychological evaluations and personality tests; shadowing counseling and evaluation sessions. Familiarity and proficiency in administering and scoring psychometric tests, which include the Strong Interest Inventory, NEO-PI, MMPI, BDI, BAI, Myers-Briggs, SPS, WRAT, WISC, ADD/ADHD assessment tests.
