Manages student concentrator records through graduation, including advisement and coordination for students on the honors track fulfilling thesis requirements.Serves as the primary administrative point of contact for music students, advising on University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Berklee College of Music, and New England Conservatory of Music protocols, guidelines, and policies. Organizes recruitment and advising events for current and prospective students. As a freelance trombone player, I perform regularly with a wide variety of ensembles throughout the northeast United States. My experience includes regular performances with Boston Philharmonic, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Albany Symphony, Vermont Symphony, Vista Philharmonic Orchestra, New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, Atlantic Symphony, and Plymouth Philharmonic. I have held the position of principal trombone with the Lexington Symphony (MA) since 2005. I have taken part in performances at the Eastern Trombone Workshop, the New York Brass Conference, and with the United States Military Academy Band at West Point, and I have served on the faculty of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.

Provide strategic leadership and operational management for programs and events on the NEC campus. Responsible for formulating innovative plans to leverage and implement the rental potential of NEC’s facilities, and collaborate with faculty and staff in program development, assessment, and growth. Emphasis on establishing and advancing external and internal partnerships, with a focus on project building and venue utilization. Identify opportunities, internal and external, for exploration as new revenue sources, including building and expanding partnerships and event definitions.Supervise all NEC event services including venue management, audience services, and facility scheduling, working closely with all production-related teams.Manage NEC’s facility rental program including partner solicitation and engagement, event scheduling, event contracting, vendor management, and coordination of logistics between internal systems and external partners.Oversee NEC’s summer programs via online and in-person models, and coordinate with NEC leadership on establishing new paradigms for summer program exploration.Ongoing analytical review of NEC’s systems, facilities, and services to maximize value for performance and event potential, while identifying opportunities for infrastructure advancement.Contribute to NEC’s COVID-19 response for all events and services ⁠— academic and performance based — to ensure constituent safety, city and state compliance, and effective event management.

Design, manage, and maintain the operational needs of BEMF’s individual departments and projects, and ensure operational support for BEMF’s administration, off-site projects, and special events. Includes:Performance and Concert Operations:Oversee and manage concert and performance logistics for all Season concerts, Festival concerts, non-concert events, and partnership performances.Special Event Operations:Provide operational support, management, and oversight for BEMF’s special events, and partners with BEMF departments in support of project goals.In-house Production Operations:Provides operational support during the pre-production process for BEMF’s in-house concert and opera productions, tours, recording projects, etc., and act as an administrative liaison for each project’s embedded production team. Administrative Operations:Ensure operational support for BEMF’s office and administrative needs.

Manage, support, and supervise all in-house performance production projects, including:• Company management of up to 50 artists during local and touring performances, recording projects, fundraising events, and artistic collaborations. Includes national and international negotiation with host venues, management of transportation details, coordination of necessary equipment, and schedule management.• Orchestra library management, including assignment and collection of performance parts, cataloging of numerous working editions, archival integration of performance related errata, and both physical and digital storage.• Management of cartage and drayage logistics for high volume and high sensitivity musical instruments and equipment, including customs and border control documentation.• Creation and management of artists’ performance agreements and contracts, including the application for any required government paperwork, both national and international.• Assist with hiring and supervision of project staff as needed.

Manage the exhibition trade-show component of the Boston Early Music Festival; support in-house concert production, music library management, and artist relations.• Design, budget, build, staff, and solicit vendors for the BEMF Exhibition. Includes liaising with over 100 participating vendors, managing rare and sensitive museum-quality items, detailed budget management, venue contract negotiation, event coordination, and hiring and supervision of interns.• Support in-house ensembles through artist collaboration, music library management, stage management and performance support, and travel administration.• Assist with hiring of event staff, volunteers, and interns as needed.As Orchestra Manager I assist with coordination of resources and personnel for the Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra and Chorus. Duties include acting as a liaison for musical directors and performing artists; overseeing rehearsal and performance needs; and acting as orchestra librarian, overseeing distribution and collection of scores, as well as maintaining our in-house music archives.
