After PhD studies on stability of frames for Professor Bernt Johansson at LTU, I started designing composite bridges at Scandiaconsult (later Ramboll) in 1992. In 1993-1994 I also worked with writing codes for the Oresund bridge, the first time EC3 and EC4 were used for a major project. Besides designing bridges I have brought six European R&D projects to Ramboll Luleå, where we also built real bridges with new concepts, which LTU monitored to learn more .Since 2007 I am professor at LTU, and together with my good friends at Eurokodutbildningar I also plan and arrange courses for professional structural engineers. Since 2022 I also help Structorstiftelsen getting started, with encouraging R&D as well students in the Civil Engineering sektor.
