This financial inclusion program Saver Plus was developed by the ANZ Bank and the Brotherhood of St. Laurence in 2003. Today, it is delivered from 60 community locations across Australia. Saver Plus aims to increase the level of savings, improve financial literacy, and build the long term savings habits of people on low incomes. More than 35,000 people have participated in the program to date. As the National Manager for Saver Plus, I lead the strategic and operational direction of this highly regarded and successful national program and manage the associated team.Responsibilities:• Staff management - leading, managing and mentoring a team of 12 staff (with 5 direct reports) and a distribution network of 60 locations.• Program management and compliance - leading the management of the Saver Plus program, including compliance, performance, and issues resolution to achieve quality client outcomes.• Stakeholder engagement - leading the strategic partnership discussions with ANZ Bank, the Australian Government, community partners, delivery agencies, and third party suppliers. Also responsible for chairing Program Management meetings.• Strategic direction and continual improvement - leading the development of future strategic directions and continual improvement initiatives. • Reporting – provision of monthly reports to partners and the development and presentation of updates to the Partnership Group Committee and Saver Plus Steering Committee .• Budget management.

Good Shepherd Microfinance is in the financial inclusion space and is Australia’s largest microfinance organisation. The organisation offers a suite of people-centred, affordable financial programs for people on low incomes.My role as National Program Manager for Insurance was responsible for managing a team and providing oversight and relationship management of key partnerships with industry, Government, community, and internal stakeholders.
