Listen to citizen concerns and shape programs and activities to ensure public safety, functioning utilities, and safe roads. Addis Abbaba, Ethiopia

Served as the senior most operations officer in the UN Peacekeeping Headquarters. Responsible for supervision of remotely deployed military observers and the daily reporting of actions on the Ethiopia/Eritrea border to senior UN civilian and military leadership. Interacted frequently with senior officers in the Ethiopian Ministry of Defense military as well as US State Department and military personnel at the US Embassy. Directly supervised four foreign military officers in the conduct of daily duties.

Acted as a primary staff officer for the 18,000 strong UN peacekeeping force in Liberia. Responsible for coordination between the UN military force and host nation government ministries, NGOs, and other UN agencies. Traveled extensively throughout the country and assisted with numerous civil military projects. Provided administrative supervision of all 13 US officers assigned to the mission. Directly supervised an office staff made up of six foreign military officers, each from a different nation. Coordinated weekly with US State Department and senior military personnel at the US Embassy.
